Let's see. It's fall. And the Bun is in Kindy. And I'm not doing any traveling for a bit...well, maybe ONE more small trip, and then Columbus day we've got something cooking...but whatever. What I really mean to say is that we have started doing things again. Hooray for that.
This past weekend we did what JWH likes to call "opening a can of worms." Yeah, we started a project that was meant to be like 4 steps and ended up being like, well...were not done yet. So, many, many steps. It's the master bath. The fishy tile.
I'll share some in-progress pics later in the week. Let's just say it's a big 'ol mess. And while JWH chipped (okay, pounded) away at the marine life, I painted the walls as decided. Revere Pewter. It's lovely. I also did the ceiling, in white, and it's a good change. It needs a third coat, but, still, it's all good.
I learned a very important lesson, too. I hate painting ceilings. So the kitchen ceiling will be quoted with a professional. I just do not have that in me.
So, with travel and work and packing a lunch for the kid every night...well, we will call this a slow restart to fall house repair and clean up. But, it's a start all the same. I may even eventually hem those living room curtains...
