So, remember back when I said I was going to put a swing in the mudroom? I meant it, and I even had the IKEA hooks in my little hands. But, 2 trips to IKEA later and the swings is still a no-show. I googled and such and it really seems like they are gone for good.
Boo!
But, the googling did lead me to realize that the Ekorre line had other options. Namely, rings. Ahhh! Even better for our limited space and our monkey-child. So, I set out to find them. Ebay, kids, Ebay.
And while I bid and sweat and hope...? Here is the glory that I anticipate having at Holiday House soon:
I mean, really, really, really cool for a rainy day. I may have to get a rug pad under the mudroom Flor tiles, though, that tile under there is hard...as JWH would say: "can of worms!"
Oh, and I did look at other swings on Amazon and the like, but they were just not the aesthetic I was looking for. If my rings bids fall through, I suppose I will re-investigate options, though. I'm am hot for the rings, I tell you, hot! I mean, look at that kid up there! She is having a ball and there are no "ponies" or parents pretending to be "ponies" involved at all!
