Sadly, no pictures of mine exist. That I know of. Or, maybe that's a good thing, because, based on my browsing of this neato tumblr site, I was pretty darned average. Perhaps even a tad restrained...
Seriously, though, the Teenage Bedroom thing is very cool. Kids and adults all over have submitted actual pictures of their rooms now, or back in the day. So far I have 2 observations:
- Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen had a larger following than I ever imagined.
- There are very few rooms that look like the "teen room" promulgated by the shelter pubs and blogs.
The few that stood out to me as actually quite stylish:
The rest, well, let's just say that I now know why 3M is a successful business. Fully 90% of their revenue must surely come from Scotch tape sales.
Oh, but then there was this one. It's the one that's kind of haunting me. It looks like a set designer's version of a cool/ironic/iconoclastic teenage boys room. But he's real. I'm with the site host on this one: if I was a teen aged girl, this boy would have me at hello.
The fourth bedroom design photo matches my personality the most. Even though I'm no longer a teenager, I used to enjoyed music a lot when I was younger, and I still do now. The guitar and disco lights in the room accentuate the musical vibe of the room perfectly.

I totally agree! My room is of the same concept, without that cool disco ball! How come I didn't think of that?
