The update is...nothing.
While we await a response and/or sketches from the architect/friend of a friend who looked at the space a few weeks ago, I thought I'd share the pics I took for her. Gives you an idea of what I have now and how much potential there is there for something fabulous (and useful).
First, the exterior. The sun room is everything to the right of the door. Well, there is a closet between the door and the window. Looking at it from this perspective you can see how big it really is...
Then, the view of it from just inside the living room, looking back toward the front door. You can see how sunny it is, and how important the glass door is for light. The door is needed because the room is not insulated. Maybe the walls are, but the windows are single pane. Who does that?
Lastly, peeking in the door. Yes, that is an air compressor on the floor, and an open tape measure and the old hallway light fixture - I am all class. World's sunniest junk room, at your service!
This room was definitely the “problem child” of our renovation and six months later it still looks like a before picture. I'm on the hunt for some pretty fabric for the shower curtain.
