I love darker grout, too. I really wanted to try it in our bathroom but my husband vetoed on the hex floors. Hopefully he'll concede on the kitchen tile. But it's all about compromise, right?

Kim, I never considered it for the hex floor, just the walls - interesting idea!

I'm a fan of the dark grout! We had a chance to do it on the backsplash at the flip, and I wish we'd gone for it. It really makes the tile pop, but in a subtle, classy way. :) So glad you linked this up!

Love subway tile. We have it as the back splash in our kitchen with the a medium grey grout. At first I really liked the contrast, but now I wish I'd gone with the white!

Even well sealed if anything splatters it often times leaves a darker spot in the grout. But the worst for me is I think it makes the white tile look dirty somehow. I'd love nothing more than to scrape out all the grey and replace it with white.

@ Debbie, Yikes! Yours is the kind of story that makes me think twice!

Robin

I think it looks great! Such a good idea that I'll keep in mind.

Installing tiles on walls isn’t a bad idea at all. This will make the room or area brighter and fresher. Our apartment’s bathroom has ceramic tiles from the walls down to the floor. And what makes it good is that the bathroom accessories match the tiles so there’s a sort of harmony of elements going on! Haha!
